All four sides of the mitered 1 1/4" wide snap frame rails are spring-loaded to quickly snap-open by hand. When the frame is open, front-load your poster or sign materials. It easily snaps shut, giving your 11 x 17 insert a tight wrinkle-free grip. It's that easy.
